Wish my hands were larger Sent on 08 August 2010Works well as a single-bottle steriliser, but I found it difficult to hold in one hand to carry to the microwave when holding baby also.
Great for getting the job done, will fit in any microwave Sent on 05 August 2010I originally chose this product over the larger microwave sterilisers for two reasons:
- most of the larger ones will not fit all microwaves (mine, for example)
- if you sterilise many bottles at a time and open the lid to take one out, the rest of the stuff doesn't stay sterile anyway so I didn't see much point in that.
This product is easy to use and bottle will stay sterile for 3 hrs if lid is unopened. Will fit other types of bottles as well. It is small enough to take with you when traveling.
What it doesn't do is fit the Tommee Tippee Anti-colic Plus bottle well. It will fit if you squeeze it in but I am never confident that the teat is properly sterilized, as it bends to an awkward angle when squeezed in.
Compared to other methods of sterilising bottles (solutions or boiling), this is the way to go. Won't clutter you kitchen or break the bank -after all, you only need it for a few months.
handy Sent on 04 August 2010great steriliser as really quick and good to use when you have a v hungry baby and no bottle ready. Only stays sterile for 3 hours once microwaved which means you cant really use it for overnight use. Really handy for travel and have used it loads when over at family for the day and bottles wont stay sterile for long enough.

Great, convienient, and cheap Sent on 28 February 2010We bought this for a travel trip rather then lugging the electric one away with us, and since purchasing we use this all the time and rarely use the electric one.
It's perfect in the sense that you only sterilize one bottle at a time as per the current guidelines so no need to sterilize bottles that your not going to use.
In fact it's so good we bought 2 and use the other one for steaming asparagus and sweetcorn
My only gripe is that you can't fit the larger Avent bottle complete with lid in the steamer at the same time (the bottle and teat yes, but not the lid) but as this is Tommee Tippee and not Philips I can't really complain as it wasn't designed for the Avent system
My advice (especially to new parents) don't waste your money on expensive electric steamers when this is all you'll ever need.
